The Italian Job – PG-13
Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Edward Norton, Seth Green, Donald Sutherland

Master thief Charlie Croker(Wahlberg) pulls off the perfect job with the perfect crew. The only threat came not from with out but from within. After being betrayed, and to avenge the death of a close friend, he enlists the help of a young beautiful safe cracker named Stella(Theron). With the crew back in action, they seek out the one who betrayed them all in this 1969 remake.

Rarely is a remake as good or better than the original. This is one. It delivers, not only a high-adrenaline punch, but a story as well. This is the best movie out this week so don’t miss this one!

The In-Laws – PG-13
Michael Douglas, Albert Brooks, Candice Bergen, Ryan Reynolds, Lindsay Sloane

With just days left before Jerry’s(Brooks) daughter’s wedding, he finally meets Steve(Douglas), the father of the groom. From that moment on, his life isn’t the same. Jerry soon finds himself far from his comfortable life and is sucked into the whirlwind that is Steve’s life. This funny remake of a 1979 cult-classic comedy will keep you laughing.

While I was hesitant at first, I found myself enjoying this remake. With its outrageous situations you cant help but laugh. A fun ride.

Hollywood Homicide – PG-13
Harrison Ford, Josh Hartnett
Veteran cop Joe Galivan(Ford) and his rookie partner K.C. Calden(Hartnett) are called in to work a puzzling case in the dangerous world of the hip-hop recording industry. Nothing is what it seems, as is often the case in Hollywood. Galivan and Calden juggle their caseload with their part-time careers in this action comedy.

Don’t let the star power of this film fool you. Although I am a fan of Ford and Hartnett in other works, their chemistry isn’t really convincing in this film. Action comedies are hard to pull off and this one barely makes it for me.
