Mr. Levi Trent Downey, 19, of House, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, in Curry County.

He was born on Dec. 26, 1984, in Tucumcari, to Dwain and Susan Downey.

He graduated as valedictorian from House High School in May 2003. Family members said he was a fun-loving young man who loved life, loved the Lord, and never met a stranger. He loved people and anyone can tell you he was always telling jokes. He was past state president of Business Professionals of America, and was currently serving as State Future Farmers America secretary. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in House.

Survivors include his mother; a brother, Michael Downey of Waco, Texas; his grandparents, Marvin and Cris Terry of San Jon, and Russell and Bettye Downey, and Dean Cameron, all of Clovis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.

The Rev. Sherman Martin will officiate the services assisted by the Rev. John Sparks.

Burial will be at San Jon Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Brett Lane, Keith Smith, H.P. Cargile, Ryan and Wayne Fought, Kene Terry, and Justin and Steve Foust.
Honorary pallbearers are all fellow FFA members.

Memorial contributions may be made to the FFA Scholarship Fund in memory of Levi Downey at American Heritage Bank in Clovis.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
