Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

A patrol officer driving Wednesday near 21st and Ross streets began hearing a low, thumping noise coming from a nearby car.

As the vehicle passed him, the officer could feel the vibration of the music.

He stopped the driver, who acknowledged his music was too loud.

The officer issued him a citation.

Police were dispatched Wednesday to the 1300 block of West 21st Street in reference to a vehicle theft.

The complainant said someone had broken into her car and taken her purse.

She said the value of the purse and its contents came to $32, and the window would cost her $200 to fix.

Nothing else was taken.

There are no suspects at this time.
