Mr. Moses Joseph Manuel Chavez, 20, of Clovis, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on March 28, 1984, in Pueblo, Colo., to Ruby Lynn Chavez and Juan Lucero.

He has lived in Clovis for 17 years and worked for the Clovis schools administration and Southwest Canners. He married Carly on March 7, 2002, in Clovis. Family members said he loved writing and singing music.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph A. Chavez.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Andrew Chavez of Clovis; two daughters, Mia Faith Chavez and Nicole Chavez, both of Clovis; his mother; two brothers, Paul Romero of Raton and Christopher Chavez of Gallup; two sisters, Melissa Gibson of Farmington and Michelle Chavez of Soccoro; five uncles, Manuel Chavez of Pueblo, Elton Chavez of Tucson, Ariz., Clayton Chavez of Wyoming, Dayton Chavez and Joseph Chavez, both of Clovis; three aunts, Shirly and Mona Chavez, both of Rhode Island, and Tina Chavez of Clovis.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Rosary services will be held on at 6 p.m. today at the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis.

Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Manuel, Elton, Dayton, Chris, Andres and Joseph Chavez and Matthew Trujillo.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
