Mildred Shaw, 78, of Clovis, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Herman Hospital in Houston.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Caldwell, Texas, to Sam and Rachel Morris Pollard.
She married Oscar Stevenson in May 1941, in Caldwell.
She married Henry Shaw on Jan. 4, 1966, in Clovis. She was a homemaker, and a member of St. John’s Baptist Church. Family members said she loved to shop, go to garage sales, and donate to charity.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a son, George Stevenson; two daughters, Georgia Stevenson and Mary Elizabeth Stevenson; a brother, the Rev. James Pollard Sr.; and a grandson, Don Stevenson.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Hunter (and husband, Douglas) of Clovis and Ivy Russell (Joseph) of Hawkinville, Ga.; two sons, Lee Stevenson (Helen) of Denver and Curtis Stevenson (Vickie) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Laura Pollard of Big Spring, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Joe Callahan will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Semar and Shawn Tillman, Anthony and Oscar Stevenson, William Bell and Jules Gallien.
Honorary pallbearers are Leo Dudley, Douglas Hunter, George Houston, Nemiah Archie and Joseph Russell.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
