Verna Bell McDonald, 78, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Quanah, Texas.
She had worked the past 15 years with small children, and enjoyed being a grandmother. She was a resident of Portales for 52 years.
She is preceded in death by three grandchildren, two sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Bleeks (and husband, Robert) of Fort Mohave, Ariz., Willie Decker (Roger) of Longview, Wash., and Joe Bergsieker (Ralph) of Portales; two sons, Matthew McDonald (Catherine) of Albuquerque, and Mark McDonald (Rebecca) of Portales; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Johnson of Portales.
Arrangements are by Dimond and Sons of Bullhead City, Ariz.
