1/17 Police Blotter

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

At 6 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle was stopped by police for undisclosed reasons on the 200 block of Sheldon Street, and a juvenile passenger was arrested on a warrant out of Bernalillo County for violating probation. The 17-year-old female from Farwell was taken to the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center and awaits extradition.

At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 300 block of Fourteenth Street to serve arrest warrants on a 15-year-old Clovis man, for failing to appear in court and for trespassing.

At 3 a.m. on Friday, police took a Clovis woman into protective custody, after they determined she was too intoxicated to care for herself. The woman, who had a bloody nose and torn clothes, said she was at a local bar and then went to a party on Kimberly Lane, where her mouth was duct taped by individuals who also threatened her. She denied medical treatment, and was taken to the Curry County Adult Detention Center, where she was restrained after being combative with guards, the report said.
