Clara F. Castorena, 85, of Muleshoe died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at her home.
She was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Menard, Texas. She married Polo Castorena in Menard on Oct. 3, 1938. She moved to Muleshoe in 1950 from Sudan.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Muleshoe and the Guadalupana organization.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 8, 1985; two sons, Gilberto Castorena on Sept., 15, 1996, and Alejendro Castorena on March 10, 2005; and a granddaughter, Patricia Mendoza on Dec. 20, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Jesse Castorena and Richard Orozco, both of Clovis; two daughters, Maria Orozco and Dolores C. Orozco, both of Muleshoe; two daughters-in-law, Slyvia Castorena and Lupe Castorena, both of Muleshoe; a sister, Theresa Reyes of Uvalde, Texas; a brother, Jesus Flores of Muleshoe; 32 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Father Leo Pahamtang will officiated services.
Burial is at Muleshoe Memorial Park.
