There are two contested races in today’s General Election for state and national offices.

Poll are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Democratic incumbent Doug Miller and Republican candidate Duane Castleberry are vyingfor District 1 magistrate judge. Democrat Gloria Wicker and Republican Kevin Duncan are competing for probate judge.

Several other local candidates and state representatives are running unopposed.
There are 27 polling places for the county’s 37 precincts.

“Voters should go to the polling location listed on their blue voter identification card,” Curry County Deputy Clerk and Election Administrator Coni Jo Lyman said. “The only exception to the rule is Precinct 31, and that polling location has been moved by court order to Bostwick Freight, which is located at 1379 U.S. 60/84.”
