PORTALES — The Eastern New Mexico University men’s and women’s cross country squads have been named to the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association all-academic team, ENMU cross country coach Joel McMullen has announced.
To be eligible, teams had to compile a collective 3.0 grade point average for the fall semester and finish in the top half of regional competition. The Greyhounds were 13th out of 28 teams in the NCAA Division II South Central Region men’s meet in November, while the Zias were 15th of 32 in women’s competition.
“ENMU can be very proud of the accomplishments that these student-athletes have achieved in and out of the classroom,” McMullen said. “They did a great job, and I’m proud to be their coach.”
