U.S. 60-70-84 will remain closed at the railroad crossing between Texico and Farwell until Friday afternoon, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
BNSF Railway is repairing the crossing, according to railroad officials.
Traffic is being detoured along U.S. 60 and Farm-to-Market Road 292.
United Way annual banquet scheduled
United Way of Eastern New Mexico is holding its annual banquet March 22 at Clovis Civic Center.
Tickets are $20 per person or $160 per table. RSVP by Friday.
Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner is at 7 p.m.
