Ethnicity will be celebrated during the 16th annual Clovis/Curry County Ethnic Fair and Parade of Flags and People.
Festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with a 5K walk/fun run. The festival continues with the start of the Parade of Flags and People. The parade will be led by a joint color guard unit and will include marching units, ethnic flags and floats.
Other activities include a car show, dancers, martial arts, music and more.
New to the festival is the health fair, scheduled from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the I.O.O.F. Lodge building at 405 N. Main Street. The National Marrow Donor Program will be in attendance as well as the New Mexico Department of Health Diabetes Prevention and Control program, the health liaison from the N.M. Office of African American Affairs, United Blood Services, Eye Associates, Vista Care and the Aging and Long Term Services Department.
