Samplings of school-related incidents in which area law enforcement responded:

About 9 a.m. Sept. 27 an officer was contacted at the Clovis High School Freshman Campus in regards to a disruptive student.

In an e-mail, a teacher told the officer the student had been a constant disruption and was defiant any time she tried to talk to him about it.

The officer stated his report would be forwarded to juvenile probation officers.

Around 1 p.m. Sept. 27 an officer at Clovis High School took into custody a teen charged in two municipal warrants with contempt of court.

He was transported to the jail.

About 1:30 Sept. 27 an officer responded to Choices Alternative School for a report of a student with a weapon.

A teacher told the officer a teacher had observed a student with brass knuckles on his hand while pretending to box.

The officer placed the brass knuckles into evidence and collected written statements on the incident.

Around 3:30 p.m. Sept. 28 an officer was contacted by a teacher at the Clovis High School Freshman Campus for a theft report.

A substitute teacher said her cell phone was stolen when she left the room, which was otherwise empty.

About 11 a.m. Oct. 1 an officer responded to a hit and run at the Clovis High School.

A student told the officer she had discovered damage to her vehicle when she went to the parking lot after class. The officer documented moderate damage to the left rear quarter panel of the vehicle.
