Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers:
About midnight Jan. 1 an officer responded to a home in the 600 block of Ross Street for a fight in progress.
A man told the officer his wife’s former boyfriend knocked on the door, forced his way into the house, and attacked him.
He showed the officer superficial cuts on his torso he received from an unknown object the man was holding.
Officers took photos of the injuries and suspect information.

About 9:30 a.m. Jan. 2 an officer conducting a traffic stop in the area of Sixth and Prince streets noticed a wanted suspect going past on a bicycle.
The officer made contact with the man and arrested him. The suspect told the officer he had a bag of marijuana in his pocket.
The drugs were confiscated and he was charged with possession of marijuana.

About 11 a.m. Jan. 2 an officer responded to the area of Sandia and La Fonda streets for a domestic disturbance in progress.
A teen said another teen he knew had come to his house and punched him, knocking him to the ground. He said the suspect continued to kick and punch him and then left.
The victim had a bloody lip and blood on his clothes.
The officers took the suspects information.

Around 8 p.m. Jan. 2 an officer responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of Main for a larceny report.
A man said his brother contacted him and said he was being arrested and asked him to put his house key in his mailbox and his car keys in the house.
The man said he did as he was asked, also leaving some money on his brother’s bed, locking the house when he left.
He said he went back the next day to check the house and the found the door unlocked and the keys and money missing.
