A 27-year-old Floyd man who arranged to have sex with an underage girl for sex was arrested in Thursday in Clovis by Curry County Sheriff’s Office deputies, according to a press release.
Brice Griffith is charged with child solicitation by electronic device, a third-degree felony.
According to the release, Griffith:
• entered an Internet chat room conversation with an undercover female posing as an underage female;
• inquired about the youth’s sexual experience and transmitted nude photos of himself;
• made arrangements to meet the youth in person and have intercourse;
• was arrested without incident by sheriff’s investigators when he showed at the fictitious youth’s “residence.”
Griffith is being held at the Curry County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation and executed two search warrants in location Griffith utilized computers, the release said.
