A motel was robbed and a home invaded early Friday morning in unrelated incidents, according to Clovis Police.

Around 2 a.m. a clerk at a motel in the 1500 block of Mabry Drive reported a man came into the lobby and demanded money, threatening a clerk with a knife, according to a CPD press release.

After the employee complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot, the release said.

Around 3 a.m. residents of a home in the 1000 block of Sheldon Street reported suspects entered their home while they were sleeping, the release said.

The suspects left, taking the resident’s vehicles, according to the release.

Police administrative assistant Amy Sellers said there were no injuries in either incident.

She declined to comment further, citing ongoing investigations.
