Cannon Appreciation Day is a day for the Clovis and Curry County communities to say thanks to Cannon’s military members for their service.
Unity Park on Cannon Air Force Base was covered with grills, tables, bounce houses, tents and people for the 19th annual event on Aug. 8.
The event featured food, prizes, games for children and adults including volleyball and horse shoes. But even with plenty of entertainment around, some chose to simply lay back and enjoy a day out of their uniforms.
