Retired Clovis Police Chief Dan Blair has joined the district attorney’s office as a senior investigator.

“Dan Blair’s experience will greatly assist the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office by preparing and reviewing cases with prosecutors and investigating alleged crimes in Roosevelt and Curry County,” District Attorney Matt Chandler said in a press release.

Blair will also serve with the Major Crime Unit, according to the release.

Blair retired in June from the Clovis Police Department after about 18 months as chief.

He has more than 23 years experience in law enforcement.

Blair was sworn in Tuesday by District Judge David Reeb.
