Seven Wildcats shared in the scoring smorgasbord as Clovis beat Hobbs 58-0 Friday in a District 4-5A game at Leon Williams.
The Wildcats (9-1) won the district title with their eighth-straight win and likely locked up a top-four seed in the state playoffs. The top four seeds in the 12-team playoffs earn first-round byes.
Clovis took advantage of three turnovers to build a 35-0 halftime lead. Stephan Mills ran for a pair of touchdowns and Kyler Brewer added a 10-yard scoring pass to Johnny Maes in the first half.
Juan Rivas capped the scoring with a 48-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
The second half was played with a running clock.
Clovis outscored its two district opponents by a score of 109-7.
