Commissioners will decide Thursday on a proposal from Great Lakes Airlines to continue flights from Clovis to Albuquerque.
A two-year Department of Transportation program that awards subsidies to airlines that serve rural communities expires in May.
Cheyenne, Wyo., based Great Lakes Airlines was the only company that submitted a proposal by the Feb. 3 deadline. The company submitted a $2.9 million subsidy request.
The company was awarded a $2.3 million subsidy in 2007, when the city commission selected it over Hawaii-based Pacific Wings airlines.
Great Lakes Airlines also provides flights to Albuquerque from Silver City.
