Labor board members appointed at CCC

The Clovis Community College Board of Trustees met Wednesday morning in Room 512 of the college.
All agenda items were approved by a 4-0 vote. The board:

• Approved the appointment of two members to the three-member Labor Management Relations board, which was created through a resolution in its last meeting on June 10.
Rick Switzer of BNSF Railroad will represent labor. Plumbing company owner Mark Carpenter will represent the college.
Switzer and Carpenter will recommend a third member for the college board’s final approval.

• Approved the summer graduation list. President John Neibling said there are 32 graduates from summer — 31 associate degrees and one vocational certificate. They will be eligible to take part in next May’s graduation ceremony.

• Approved updates to the equal employment opportunity policy and the strategic plan.

• Approved final transfer of the “Davis residence,” a house donated by Carlton Davis to the college.
