(Roosevelt County, NM) – On Thursday September 24, 2009, Deputies with the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office and Officers with the Portales Police Department conducted a Narcotics search warrant in the 500 block of East 1st Street.
Prior to the search warrant the Region 5 Drug Task Force received information concerning the distribution of marijuana at the residence.
During a visit to the residence a narcotics K-9 alerted causing Deputies and Officers to secure the residence for a search warrant.
During the search warrant marijuana was found that was packaged for sale. Several items of drug paraphernalia were also located within the residence.
Tamara Davis, DOB: 01-12-81, a Portales resident, was arrested at the residence for Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
She is being held at the Roosevelt County Detention Center on a $50,000.00 cash only bond.
