Troops send holiday greetings from Iraq

The New Mexico National Guard 515th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion members want to wish their communities a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Mosul, Iraq.

According to a news release, the 515th is serving as the headquarters element for more than 700 soldiers from around the country assigned to conduct transportation, supply, security and medical operations while in Iraq.

The 515th represents the last large unit of the New Mexico National Guard to deploy this year, according to the release.

New Mexico now has more than 500 men and women from the Army and Air National Guard serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the Middle East.
