Crime Victim’s Rights Week starts

The 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is kicking off national Crime Victim’s Rights Week with its Sixth Annual Community Breakfast Tuesday.

Scheduled for 7 a.m. at the Clovis Civic Center, the breakfast is held to honor crime victims and their families and those who serve them, according to a press release.

Crime Victims’ Week began Sunday.

More than 150 community members, including victims, their families, law enforcement, community leaders and victim’s service providers are expected to attend.

This year 3rd Judicial District Attorney and Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez is scheduled as the guest speaker.

Tickets are $15 at the door and the event is open to the public.
