The family of 5-year-old Destiny Suniga has established an account to assist with expenses associated with a medical procedure.
Suniga was born with tumor above her eye, a condition called neurofibromatosis, according to her mother Renee Suniga, who explained as Destiny has grown, the tumor has enlarged and is now nearly covering her eye.
The Suniga family will be taking Destiny to Philadelphia in June for surgery to remove the tumor.
An account, called the “Donation account for Destiny” has been established at New Mexico Bank and Trust.
Suniga said their will also be a fundraiser car wash May 22 in front of Wal-Mart to raise money.
