A manager for the company rebuilding the Hull Street Overpass said a November completion date is on the agenda.
“The process is going well,” said Brad Davis, a project manager with Hamon Contractors of Denver. “It’s on schedule for completion in the first week of November.
“It’s an ongoing battle with high winds, but we’ve overcome that.”
The overpass, shut down in June of 2008, was the main way to bypass train tracks dividing northern and southern parts of Clovis. Nearly 4,000 vehicles used the overpass every day, according to city estimates.
Davis said the crews at the overpass are currently prepping for the concrete deck pour, a process that will use 1,100 cubic yards of concrete.
The city approved a bid with Hamon for $3.3 million in May.
