Baseball club meeting postponed
A meeting about the Clovis Pioneers baseball club is being pushed to later on Wednesday.
Andrew Dunn, commissioner of the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs, sent an e-mail to Parks and Recreation Director Bill Bizzell requesting a 3 p.m. Wednesday information meeting.
The meeting was originally set for 11 a.m., but Dunn will be in Texas making a bid for another team.
“There’s a chance, albeit a small chance,” Dunn said, “we can grab an Amarillo team as well.”
The eight-team league will play a 74-game season. Home games will be at Bell Park, with a possible mid-season move to Mike Harris Field.
