An automated system designed to keep crime victims informed has been launched in Curry and Roosevelt counties.
The Victim Information and Notification Everyday (V.I.N.E), alerts victims and other concerned citizens with a phone call or e-mail when there is a change in a criminal offender’s status, according to a press release from the district attorney’s office. It began operating Wednesday.
Alerts could notify of a release from custody, change to court schedule and more.
