Area public schools were recognized by the New Mexico Legislature on Friday for gains made on the New Mexico Standards Based Assessment, according to a news release.
Schools with highest proficient and above rates of the 2010 NMSBA scores for science — Fifth grade at Melrose Elementary School and juniors at Texico High School.
Schools with greatest one-year percentage gains of proficient and above rates from 2009 NMSBA to the 2010 NMSBA scores: Math — fourth grade at Dora Elementary School and juniors Tucumcari High School. Science — third grade at Arts Academy at Bella Vista in Clovis and juniors at Melrose High School.
