Capulin Volcano National Monument

• Location: The monument is located 33 miles east of Interstate 25 at Raton via U.S. Highway 64/87. The park entrance is on New Mexico Highway 325, 3 miles north of the town of Capulin which is at the junction of N.M. Hwy. 325 and U.S. Hwy. 64/87.

• What activities can you enjoy at this location?: Guided tours, hiking and biking trails. The visitor center contains exhibits, a touch table, and dioramas about geology, natural history and the human history of Capulin Volcano. A small auditorium also provides opportunities for ranger-led programs and video presentations on a variety of topics.

• Admission prices?: $5, which is valid for seven daysn

Capulin Volcano National Monument accepts federal passports, all Interagency, Golden Age, and Golden Access passes. The park also offers an annual pass specific to the monument at the cost of $10, good for 12 months from the date of purchase.
