Honors — June 12


Arden Conrad Montgomery of Portales graduated from Air Force basic training with honors May 20, 2011, at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. He ranked 19th in the honor graduates out of 60.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Montogomery earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is currently in tech school for intelligence at Good Fellow AFB in San Angelo, Texas.

The airman graduated in 2006 from New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, and received a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from The University of New Mexico.

Montgomery is the son of John Montgomery and Cori Snobble and brother of Leila Montgomery, all of Portales.
