Wood
William (Bill) R .and Ruth Marie Bernhardt Wood of El Dorado, Kan., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 6 in Ruidoso.
The celebration was hosted by their children: Julie Wood, Chris Wood and Carol Wood Sandoval, grandchildren: Amanda Wood Pullen, Ryan Wood, Janay Summers, Andrew Sandoval, Patrick Sandoval and Taryn Wood and their great-grandchild: Korbyn Pullen.
The couple was married on Aug. 20, 1961, in El Dorado, Kan.
They have three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
William Wood is a music professor at Eastern New Mexico University.
Ruth Wood is a Nursing instructor at Clovis Community College.
