Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Friday briefing.
Holly star
It’s not all things Buddy Holly just in Clovis.
Buddy Holly got his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on Wednesday, which would have been the singer-songwriter’s 75th birthday.
Just a little tidbit of information to take with you to the Clovis Music Festival now taking place in town.
Special Edition
Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and Freedom New Mexico has put together a special edition.
It’s part of the Sunday newspaper and includes lots of interviews with local and regional folks about the tragedy and what it means.
Scout fair
Cub and Boy Scouts gather 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Greene Acres Park in Clovis for a Scout Fair.
It features scouts from Portales and Clovis demonstrating a variety of skills.
There is also plenty of entertainment for kids.
Free and open to the public.
Information: Kimmie Davis, 799-8111.
