Incarnate Word rolls over Hounds

SAN ANTONIO — Junior running back Trent Rios rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns and Incarnate Word raced to a 27-0 lead late in the first half en route to a 45-28 Lone Star Conference football victory over Eastern New Mexico University on Saturday night.

Rios scored on runs of 5 and 6 yards in the first quarter, added a 2-yard run in the second period and scored from a yard out with 8:14 left in the third quarter for the Cardinals (1-1, 1-0 LSC).

Junior quarterback Wes Wood threw for 383 yards and four touchdowns for the Greyhounds (0-2, 0-1), but UIW had three interceptions and a fumble recovery to keep control of the game.
