Cannon Air Force Base open house set for Saturday

Cannon Air Force Base will open its doors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to the public to display its specialized airpower capabilities on the Cannon flight line.

The 27th Special Operations Wing’s second annual open house is a free event that will showcase various Air Force and Special Operations aircraft. According to Col. Buck Elton, 27th Special Operations Wing commander, these will include: light tactical airlift aircraft, the remotely piloted MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper, the MC-130W Combat Spear, the esteemed AC-130H gunship, the CV-22 Osprey, and tools used in global military operations.
