A 41-year-old Clovis man died Sunday in a single-vehicle accident near the intersection of Caesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to an incident report from Clovis police.
Hector Cordova-Urbina of Clovis died about 12:30 p.m. in an alley south of Dale Street when the vehicle he was driving struck a trash bin and a tree.
Speed was a factor in the crash, according to the report. The report also indicated Cordova may have had a medical condition that could have contributed to accident.
According to the report:
• A friend told police Cordova-Urbina suffered from several medical conditions, including seizures.
• Another friend told police that Cordova-Urbina was driving to Plains Regional Medical Center.
The accident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
