The Greyhounds, who clinched their first LSC title on Sunday, were kept off the board until late and dropped a 2-1 decision to the Mustangs in their regular-season finale on Friday night.

MSU (12-3-1, 2-3-0), which closes its regular season at home on Sunday against West Texas A&M, broke up a scoreless match with two goals in a span of less than two minutes shortly after the second half started.
David Freeland struck with just over a minute gone in the half, then Dean Lovegrove followed with a strike into the upper right corner of the net from about 35 yards out to make it 2-0.
The Hounds pulled to within a goal when sophomore midfielder Andy Wilkinson delivered his fifth tally of the season in the 72nd minute, but it was ENMU’s only shot on goal in the half and just its second of the match.
ENMU freshman goalkeeper Matt Malak made a season-high 10 saves.
