Food drive

The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico’s annual Canned Food Drive begins today in schools across Curry and Roosevelt counties and continues through Dec. 15.

The Carpe Diem String Quartet is playing at 7 p.m. Monday at Marshall Auditorium in Clovis.

Kitchen tip

Always make stock in a large quantity and freeze it in plastic bags. That way, when you want to make a nice soup or boil veggies, you can simply pull the bag out of the freezer.
