Pony cakes featured on show

Connie Crawford, President, CEO and Designer for Fashion Patterns by Coni, will demonstrate proper fitting and designing when working with princess seams in garments. She’s from Hansville, Wash.

Carol Fenster will discuss allergies, lactose intolerance and diets for vegans as she demonstrates how to replace sour cream, cream cheese and whipping cream in baking and cooking. Her business is Savory Palate, Inc. in Centennial, Colo.

Cake decorating expert, Nancy Siler says that rocking horses are always fun, and she’ll demonstrate a treat that is no exception. Bright and colorful, this cereal treat tastes great, too, and will delight everyone at the party. She’s with Wilton Brands in Woodridge, Iil.

Information on making elegant cards and Japanese tailoring techniques will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” noon on Tuesday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. (All times are Mountain.)

Chris Thornton, a designer with Delta Technical Coatings, Inc., will show how to make some elegant cards using a special paint for paper and a product called Paper Plus. Thornton lives in Whittier, Calif.

Judy Barlup, a sewing expert who teaches Japanese tailoring techniques, is going to show how to make professional looking welt pockets that are both functional and decorative. Her company is Unique Techniques and she’s from Bellevue, Wash.
