Last time out: The Greyhounds never trailed in beating previously unbeaten and 11th-ranked Midwestern State 80-72 on Saturday at Greyhound Arena. WT lost its third in a row, a 68-64 decision to Cameron on Saturday at Canyon.

Last season: The teams split, each winning on the road. ENMU beat the Buffaloes 73-70 in Canyon in January while WT came back for a 74-54 victory at Greyhound Arena in the regular-season finale.

Of note: This is what the LSC calls “rivalry week,” with everybody (except Texas Woman’s) playing home-and-home against another conference team in relative proximity. ENMU and WT squads meet again on Saturday at Greyhound Arena. … The Buffs’ LSC losses have come to the league’s top three teams, who are a combined 38-5 overall and 20-2 in conference play. … The Buffs lead the all-time series 60-14. … Veteran WT coach Rick Cooper is one of 13 active Division II coaches with 500 wins (513-223 in 25 seasons, including his first six at Wayland Baptist). … WT scoring leaders are 6-4 junior G Kennon Washington (14.8 ppg) and 6-5 junior F Donald Sims (14.6). Washington is shooting 66 percent from the floor, while Sims leads the team in rebounding (9.5 rpg).
