Aside from a few members missing, the 2013 Lone Star Conference preseason football poll looks a lot like the 2012 final standings.
West Texas A&M, which shared the LSC title last season with Midwestern State, beat out the Mustangs in the preseason poll with 16 first-place votes. Midwestern took three first-place votes to finish in second place.
One first-place vote went to each third-place Tarleton State and fourth-place Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Angelo State grabbed 69 points in the poll to finish far ahead of Eastern New Mexico (39) and Texas A&M-Commerce to round out the poll.
Factoring in the departures of Abilene Christian, fifth place in 2012, and eighth-place finisher Incarnate Word, the poll basically projects the remaining teams will finish in the same spots.
The Greyhounds, in their second season under coach Josh Lynn, finished 3-7 last year with a 2-6 mark in the Lone Star Conference.
