  • Last time out: Both teams played at home last Saturday, ENMU losing to No. 3 Tarleton State 92-82 while the Buffaloes were edged by Texas A&M-Commerce 83-82.
  • Last meeting: The Greyhounds led much of the game, but needed a last-second FG from senior F Cornelius Cammock to pull out a 58-57 win over the Buffs on Feb. 1 at Canyon, Texas.
  • Of note: ENMU is going for its first season sweep of the Buffs since 2003-04. … WT leads the all-time series 63-17, but Hounds coach Andrew Helton pulled to 5-5 against the Buffs with the Feb. 1 win. … Saturday’s loss to Commerce was the third by one point in conference play for WT. … Despite their first losing record in more than 20 years, the Buffs have 366 assists against 332 turnovers for the season. … Leaders for WT are 5-foot-9 senior G Drimir Ferguson (14.0 ppg, 43 percent 3-point FG, 124 assists to rank second in the LSC), 6-2 junior G Tez Dumars (11.3 ppg, 39 percent 3-point FGs, 75 percent FTs) and 6-3 junior F Antjuan Ball (10.3 ppg, 9.6 rpg), 59 percent FGs).

  • Last time out: ENMU lost on Thursday to Western New Mexico 68-65 at Greyhound Arena on a desperation last-second 3-pointer by the Lady Mustangs, extending its losing streak to 11 games. WT, ranked sixth in NCAA Division II, routed Texas Woman’s 96-66 on Sunday at home.
  • Last meeting: The Lady Buffs handed the Zias an 82-54 loss on Feb. 1 at Canyon.
  • Of note: Right now, the Zias are ninth and currently the odd team out in the upcoming eight-team LSC tournament, but with a monumental upset they could finish as high as seventh. They’ve split with each of the three teams ahead of them (all 5-10). … WT, averaging 82.2 ppg for sixth in NCAA Division II, had a 10-game run of 80 or more points between Jan. 15 and Feb. 19. … The Lady Buffs shoot just under 49 percent for the season, and have 11 games of 50 percent or better. WT has six games with at least 10 3-pointers, including the last two, and also leads D-II in assists per game (20.2). … The Lady Buffs are 60-10 all-time against ENMU and have won 19 of the last 20. … WT leaders are 5-10 senior F Devin Griffin (14.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg), 5-11 junior C Chontiquah White (13.0 ppg, 51 percent FGs, 80 percent FTs) and 5-9 senior G Casey Land (11.0 ppg, 45 percent 3-point FGs). Land is 15-for-21 on 3s over the last three games. … Griffin has 1,282 career points, while White (979) and Land (936) are closing in on 1,000.
