CNJ staff High Desert Honda closed its doors Thursday after 10 years. Owner Cletis Jones said the economy is the cause. High Desert Honda sold motorcycles and four-wheelers. “Nobody’s got any money they want to spend,” he said. The business, housed at 200 N. Prince Street, employed six people.

Freedom New Mexico Eastern New Mexico University is closing for Thanksgiving break from Wednesday through Sunday. The university’s Golden Library will be open from noon to midnight on Sunday, according to a news release from ENMU. The campus is set re-open and classes to resume Nov. 30.
