CNJ staff Kit Pettigrew of Fort Sumner signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on the Mesalands Community College rodeo team for the 2011-2012 season. The Mesalands Rodeo Team competes in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Last year, Mesalands claimed the Grand Canyon Regional Championship title.
